JOHN VAUGHN joined the law firm of Glass & Glass, of counsel, in January 1999 following his retirement from the County Court bench of Suffolk County. Early in his career, Judge Vaughn served as a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Babylon and later served on the District Court bench where he presided over misdemeanors, small claims actions and civil litigation. In November 1978 Judge Vaughn was elected to the County Court bench where he served for 20 years, presiding over murder trials, A-1 Felony prosecutions, white-collar crimes and a host of other felony offenses. After 33 years as a distinguished jurist, Judge Vaughn retired with his wife, Mary, and now spends part of the year in Florida and part of the year in New York.
